A Complete Guide to Take-Away Breakfast in Berlin

photo: Benedict Berlin.

There is nothing better than waking up, going out and sitting down to a delicious breakfast, usually with a mimosa in hand, in one of Berlin’s many cafes. But with Lockdown 2.0 extended to at least January 10, it will be some time before we can meet for breakfast. To cure your cravings for eggs, pancakes, bacon, and hot coffee, we’ve compiled this list of breakfasts that offer take out during the pandemic.

Please note that many of these restaurants are trying to figure out how to survive during the pandemic. That being said, some photos may not perfectly reflect what’s currently available to take out and delivery times may vary. These small businesses are struggling during the pandemic and need our help to survive; so order some food, take it home and enjoy it in your sweatpants with a cocktail, we won’t judge you!

Benoît Berlin

This Berlin breakfast staple is known for its 24/7 service, great meal, and long waits on weekends. During the pandemic, they are serving their usual meals in a COVID-compliant manner with take out orders or what they call “picnic boxes” – just grab a box and go. Picnic time may be over, but these boxes are here to stay and of course can also be enjoyed inside. They unfortunately had to adjust their opening hours due to current restrictions.
