Black Friday deals currently offer some great discounts on AirPods. This includes the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro – both of which may look similar to the untrained eye. Available at very different prices, we’re ready to delve into the ongoing Black Friday AirPods deals and help you find what’s best for you and your situation. Let’s get straight to the point and see what they both offer.
Apple AirPods (3rd generation) – $140, was $169
The standard Apple AirPods (3rd generation) are anything but ordinary. At a good price, you get great features like personalized spatial audio along with the option to listen to select content in Dolby Atmos. The earbuds are sweat and water resistant so they are perfect to wear during your workout or when you are running or on a wet walk. The force sensor means it’s easy to control what you’re doing, while the Lightning charging case has up to 6 hours of listening time on a single charge and a long battery life of up to 30 hours. Paired perfectly with other Apple devices, it also has Siri support while you can easily switch between other Apple devices.
Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) – $190, was $249
The Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) are initially pretty much like the Apple AirPods (3rd generation), except they offer powerful ANC which makes them some of the best wireless earbuds. I’ve upgraded from the original airpods to these and it’s a night and day difference. The ANC works brilliantly so you can block out the noisy world around you without any hassle. You can also enjoy a rich audio experience with the low-distortion, custom-built driver that delivers crisp and clear high notes with full and rich bass. Battery life remains up to 6 hours and up to 30 hours via the charging case, which now has a USB-C connection. Adaptive Audio rounds out the package so you can enjoy the audio you’ve always liked but it doesn’t require too many changes, as it does everything automatically.
Don’t miss:
Which AirPods should I buy?
If you’re an iPhone or iPad user, you’ll love any of the above AirPods. If you want to keep costs low, don’t mind not having ANC, and just want some easy-to-use earbuds then the AirPods (3rd generation) are great. These take seconds to set up and provide better sound quality than you’d expect for the price. Spatial audio also sounds great, offering a wide soundstage.
However, if you want something more advanced, consider the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation). They add ANC to the package and it really makes a difference. While the best noise-canceling headphones are over-ear headphones rather than earbuds, the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) still do a good job of canceling out background noises around you, like busy traffic or construction work. . They also sound great with adaptive audio which means you’ll never miss a thing. Ideally, these are the earbuds to aim for.
