Berlin Autumn Dreams: A Walk in the English Garden at Tiergarten

Would you believe that even after 20 years in a city, you will still be able to experience something that you have never seen before? I am very confident in my knowledge of Berlin, but this weekend I was again surprised to stumble upon something that has always been there, but never came or heard of. I’m talking about the English Garden of Tiergarten. I know this park is very big and there is probably a lot in it that many of you may not have discovered yet, but I have been there so many times, how the hell did- did I miss this incredibly charming garden?

I’m happy to have discovered it now, with the beautiful fall colors that make it even more magical. I think I haven’t been to an enchanting place like this in quite some time! It was almost like being in a completely different part of the world. And there are a few things to find there: a cafe and restaurant called Teehaus which looks quite nice, a classic flower garden, a part that looks a bit like a botanical garden with lots of bushes and plants different, a large pond with a mystical weeping willow tree.

If you want to visit the English Garden, you will find it right next to Bellevue Palace on Altonauer Straße not too far from Siegessäule. You should definitely try to catch it soon as the trees change color to orange, yellow and red – so gorgeous! It is for sure an amazing place to visit on a date …
