DC Universe: James Gunn says he’s working on a new series, announced nowhere

On his social networks, James Gunn gave an overview of his overloaded work schedule, revealing in particular to work on the writing of a DC Comics series which has not yet been announced.

Whether you’re a fan or not, everyone agrees that he’s a hard worker. Recently appointed creative director of DC Comics studios with producer Peter Safran, James Gunn is also an employee at Marvel since he is currently overseeing the post-production of the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

Working simultaneously for both studios involves great responsibilities, and therefore particularly busy days. The filmmaker also wanted to give an overview of this hellish pace by sharing his schedule for a typical working day on his Twitter account:

“My day: Writing a third of an as-yet-unannounced DC series; approving 100 special effects shots, doing a stunt double for Rocket and providing notes for the editors of Guardians 3; and attending two big DC studio meetings.”

James Gunn therefore intends to spare the goat and the cabbage, and reassure Marvel fans by confirming that his new functions will not impact the quality of Guardians 3, while giving news on the progress of the new strategy of DC Comics studios .

Especially since with the announcement of the departure of Henry Cavill, who will not ultimately return to the role of Superman, the filmmaker knows he is particularly awaited by aficionados of the DC Comics superheroic universe.

As for the mystery series he’s writing, there’s obviously no way to find out more. Let’s just hope it will be as successful as its first DC Peacemaker series, available in France since December 30 on the Amazon Prime Video platform!
