Once upon a time: Diplodocus, a young intrepid dinosaur, lives away from the world with his parents at the heart of a peaceful marsh. Curious about nature, he dreams of adventures and exploring what is hidden beyond his little piece of earth. But one day, his universe begins to fade mysteriously, taking away with him everything that is familiar to him. It was then that Diplo discovered an extraordinary power: the capacity to travel from planet to planet.
What he still does not know is that his world is none other than a comic strip, created by Ted, an artist in search of recognition. Accompanied by a band of colorful friends, Diplo embarks on a fantastic epic to save your universe … and find his own.

What they will love: Diplodocus is a curious, sweet and terribly endearing young dinosaur. If he multiplies blunders and questions, with clumsiness and naivety, it is above all a big heart on legs. Young spectators will therefore easily identify with his spontaneous personality and will share his irresistible thirst for freedom.
His initiatory journey from planet to planet becomes a visual adventure in its own right: each visited world offers a unique graphic universe, populated by strange creatures and amazing landscapes – a real invitation to escape and the imagination for the youngest.

But what makes the film even more original is that the story is not only taking place in the imaginary world of dinosaurs … but also in that of the creator himself! The film integrates the life of the designer who invented Diplodocus, showing him in full creation, in doubt, sometimes even exceeded by the characters he himself drawn.
“” I learned to draw by copying the timeless comics of Tadeusz Baranowski on the paper of my sandwiches. For me, this film is a dialogue between my childhood and me, with the comic strips of Tadeusz who aroused my soul as a screenwriter, but also with the pixar films which formed me as a director »Confides the Polish director Wojtek Wawszczyk.
Which can worry them: Very quickly, our little dinosaur finds himself delivered to himself, faced with the loss of his family cocoon. A loneliness which, although touching, is short -lived since he quickly meets his fellow travelers. Throughout his journey, he meets many characters, sometimes strange, unpredictable or frankly hostile. Hocus Pocus the magician, for example, is not always tender with regard to Diplo and sometimes shows himself mean and manipulative.

Despite everything, Diplo is never really in danger. He will be able to count in particular on other companions, as singular as Atachers, who will come to lend him a hand and accompany him in his quest with loyalty and benevolence.
What they will keep deep down: to find their family, Diplo will have to show courage, solidarity and weave sincere bonds of friendship. Through its adventure, the film highlights the importance of social relationships in the construction of self -esteem, while recalling how much hope can be a powerful engine in the face of adversity. Despite the obstacles, Diplo can count on his faithful comrade Entomology, a benevolent presence which, at each stage, blows him what could well be the moral of the film: “When we keep hope, luck ends up smiling. “

Over the story, the border between the two worlds – that of the director and that of his cartoon – fades little by little, until confused. The children will be pleasantly surprised to discover, with humor and tenderness, how a drawn story can come to life before their eyes. This abyme transforms diplodocus into a real ode to drawing, inspiration and creativity. A vibrant tribute to the imagination, capable of touching both young and older …
