Berlin’s nightlife has inspired many art forms. Many illustrators have succeeded in conveying the atmosphere of the frenzied parties that last for days, including Virginie Kypriotis with her fantastic visions of Berghain. The new ENTER THE CLUB project made their work even more exciting by turning it into a virtual reality experience.
The project, produced by UN OEIL SUR TOUT, a Paris-based digital creation studio, showcases Berghain’s colorful visions, which were previously featured on iHeartBerlin. Berghain’s detailed illustration is loosely based on the actual blueprint of the ancient power station that has become one of the most famous nightlife spots of all time. Experiencing it in virtual reality will surely bring back many memories to some. For those who haven’t had the chance to visit the tech mecca in real life, the app will offer a once in a lifetime chance to do so from the comfort of their home.
And since it looks like Berliners will actually have to survive the dreaded winter without the comfort of a heated dance floor to resort to, any attempt to maintain the club’s culture is appreciated. The app is currently only available for iOS and you can download it here. Watch the short demo in the video below.
