Heating Assistance Rebate Program Amount 2024
The HARP in Nova Scotia offers a single, one-time payment of $600 per eligible household. This applies regardless of the type of heating fuel your household uses or the size of your home.
So, whether you heat your home with oil, electricity, wood, propane, or any other eligible fuel, as long as you meet the program’s eligibility criteria, you’ll receive the full $600 rebate amount.
- No prorated payments: Even if you only become eligible for HARP partway through the heating season, you’ll still receive the full $600 rebate.
- No income-based adjustments: The rebate amount is the same for all eligible households, regardless of income.
- One rebate per household: Only one rebate will be issued per household address, even if multiple eligible individuals reside there.

The government aims to issue payments within 60 days of receiving an application with all required documents.
