You know a social media network has really taken off not when officials say its nearly 100 million users have been affected, but when ridiculous memes and “challenges” start going mainstream. The network in question in the threads – which at this point has probably become the de facto service for people who no longer want to embarrass themselves with Twitter (or X, or whatever). And the trend du jour is posting a skeumorphic ticket that shows how quickly you made it on the Meta-owned platform.
The lower the number, the sooner you’ll make it onto the threads in the initial rush after the surprise announcement that the meta is launching it sooner than expected. If you’re looking to play along, or you can’t remember where the ticket lives because you have better things to do, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to get it, post it, and then consider the bigger question of what your life has become.

First things first: Take your phone and open the Threads app.

Step 5: You will now see a four line summary of your profile at the bottom. This includes your name and handle, the date of the scheme when you joined along with your join number, which country you live in, and if you are paying to be verified by Meta.

Step 6: This is right. But you want tickets so you can properly show off and be part of the “I know where to find my tickets club.” then tap got included in The line and your ticket will open.
And all. Now you have a shiny ticket with the same information, plus a QR code for people to add you. Give it a good spin, then take a screenshot of it (great kids are screen recording it while it’s spinning), and post it on the threads.
You know you want to. And while you’re at it, follow your friend Phil.
