DIY Fabric Advent Calendar:
- Secure the fabric on the board with tape.
- To make advent calendar pockets, take a felt sheet and cut its length into three equal parts
- Each part should be 4 inches wide and 8 inches long. Fold one part, dividing the length in 5- and 3-inch ratios. Create slight arches starting from the bottom of the fold to the openings, leaving only 2 and a half inches between them
- Cut along the arch. Glue the sides of the 3-inch fold against the rest of the sheet. It will create a pocket to keep stuff in
- Then take a threaded needle and sew patterns on the sides. You can use simple stitches or go for more intricate work, depending on your sewing skills. Repeat the process to make 25 such pockets to glue, sew or tape onto the board. Afterward, glue glitter paper numbers on pockets to mark the countdown till Christmas
- Once your pockets are ready, tape or glue the “Advent Calendar” on the top of the board from glitter paper letters
- Leave a 2-3 inch gap and start pasting pockets under the words with a little space between them
- Once all the pockets are secured on the board, you can fill them with all sorts of trinkets and adorn the board as well
Merry Christmas, you lovely people!
