Over the past couple of days, Berlin is finally starting to wake up and feel like the multifaceted and fun city we all know and love. The sun is shining, people are outside and the Berlin atmosphere is slowly being felt.
What better time to release something new than now? We all crave fun, ice cream and golden sunsets. It seems like the perfect time for what Magnum has in store for us.
Recently I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of some bright things to come at the Magnum press event. Of course, there was a whole new flavor of ice cream involved and some amazing dazzled roller skates. Sound like fun? Let’s dive into …
Magnum Pleasure Icons
In anticipation of a golden summer with lots of sunshine and fun, Magnum has ordered a unique limited design edition of five designer pieces by various labels and independent artists. We’re glad they picked some really cool authentic brands for this and it really shows in the final designs.
The highlight of this special edition design’s show is definitely the dazzled pair of roller skates that were created in collaboration between Luna Skates and artists Georgie + Timmy. The skates are probably the biggest hunk of the season, so I can only imagine these skates are going to be flying off the shelves. I can already see some of you doing some cool Oumi Janta jam skating moves in Tempelhofer Feld.
The other two “Icons of Pleasure” are equally cool: Iconic jewelry designer Sabrina Dehoff created a pair of a bold gold bracelet and necklace with a Magnum-shaped charm that perfectly combines jewelry design. contemporary with our number one desire for summer: ice cream!
The latest pieces in the ‘Pleasure Icons’ edition come from the famous Berlin fashion brand Starstyling who designed oversized black and cream colored shirts with a gold leaf print of countless tiny Magnums. It’s the perfect shirt to make an impression at the next evening outdoors!

Layers of pleasure
Of course, I also got to try the all new Magnum Ice Cream Flavor at the press event, and it was quite an explosion of flavors!
When it comes to Magnum’s Double line of ice cream, it’s all about the different layers you have to go through to reach the creamy core. In the case of the new Magnum Double Gold Caramel Billionaire – inspired by the traditional ‘Billionaire Shortcake’ dessert from Great Britain – you have to pass a layer of golden caramel chocolate with cookie crumbs and another of salted caramel sauce until you hit a swirl of pecans and cookie ice cream. It’s such an exquisite blend of flavors that it’s sure to become this summer’s special sweet treat.
