“Last day. Last time. Hey buddy, thanks for all the lessons and all the strength”, writes the Briton with a photo taken on the set of season 4 which has only just ended. With this publication, Ncuti Gatwa seems to formalize his departure from the series, unless the success of Netflix comes to an end.
The program was renewed for a fourth season in September 2021, just days after the release of season 3. For the moment, the streaming platform has not yet renewed Sex Education for a season 5.
Ncuti Gatwa is not the only actor to have left the production lately. This departure comes after those of Patricia Allison, Tanya Reynolds, Simone Ashley and Rakhee Thakrar who will not return for a season 4.
It must be said that the schedule of the actor begins to be loaded. Ncuti Gatwa has been chosen to play the new Doctor Who for season 14 of the famous series. He will also star in Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated Barbie alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Season 5 of Sex Education is still scheduled for 2023.
