During an interview with the JDD, Philippe Lacheau, currently playing Alibi.com 2, revealed that he had been approached for a biopic project on a TV star, who died in 2012. A dramatic role that Philippe Lacheau declined.
During an interview for the Journal du Dimanche, Philippe Lacheau made a major revelation about a film project! A biopic on TV host Jean-Luc Delarue is currently in preparation.
Asked about the fact that we had never seen Philippe Lacheau in a dramatic role before, the latter replied: “I have been offered to play dramatic roles, like that of Jean-Luc Delarue for a biopic in preparation. I was surprised that people thought of me. I hesitated a lot. I wondered if it was time to do something radically different, which speaks of decadence, drugs, darkness behind the public image of ideal son-in-law. The answer is no.”
No Philippe Lacheau therefore in the skin of Jean-Luc Delarue, but this project is very probably in the process of casting. We do not yet know if it is a film or a TV film, like for example what TF1 had imagined around Grégory Lemarchal recently.
On this occasion, AlloCiné had also listed several biopic projects with potential for TV personalities, and Jean-Luc Delarue was one of them.
Here is what we wrote: “Sex, drugs and tragedy. The biopic about one of the most talented animators-producers of his generation, Jean-Luc Delarue, would not be the brightest as the man behind Ca se discuss a dark side that ended up taking up all the space and killing him. In 2018, producer Vincent Meslet (Tomorrow belongs to us) dedicated a book to him entitled The Man Who Didn’t Love Himself Who Could Perfectly serve as the basis for this TV movie. It would also be a question, through his exceptional professional career, of telling the not always brilliant behind the scenes of television in the 90s and 2000s”.
Since we published these lines in 2020, several TV documentaries have traced the journey of Jean-Luc Delarue on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his death in 2022.
