American artistic gymnast Simone Biles has a fortune of $25 million dollars. Simone Biles is the most decorated American gymnast in the history of the sport with more than three dozen medals to her name (both Olympic and World Championship medals), and many think she is the greatest gymnast the world has ever seen. At the time of this writing, Simone has collected seven Olympic gold medals, two silver, and two bronze. She is arguably one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, male or female, especially when it comes to Olympic athletes. Her most decorated achievements came in the 2016 Summer Olympics at which she competed for US team, nicknamed the ‘Final Five’. She earned a bronze on the balance beam and another gold while competing as part of the US team. Having amassed an impressive eight US championship records to date, she won her first US championship in August 2013 – at just 16 years of age. It was in the same month of August 2023 that she won her eighth, now at the age of 26.
Cruelly, Simone performed poorly at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo – delayed by COVID in 2021 – hauling home a bronze on the balance beam and a silver with the team. She withdrew from some of the events after a bout of the twisties, a temporary loss of a gymnast’s capacity to sense their balance in the air. Her endorsements landed her status as the most-marketed US athlete ahead of the 2020 games (before and after their deferral) with a combined total endorsements estimated to exceed $20 million in the years leading up to the games, and contracts going forward.

Simone Biles has supplemented that gymnastics income through the years with other endorsements: before the 2016 Olympics, she starred in a Tide commercial with several of her fellow gymnasts.
She signed an exclusive, long-term contract with Nike in 2015, and in the same year she signed a contract with GK Elite Sportswear to produce Simone Biles leotards.
The US women’s gymnastics team’s medals were officially sealed in May 2016, but in August the aptly named ‘Final Five’ – composed of Biles, Ontario’s Aly Raisman, 22, Gabby Douglas, 20, Lauren Hernandez, 18, and Madison Kocian, 20 – graced the cover of a limited-edition Wheaties box.

In the run-up to and during the 2020 games, Simone was the most highly paid Olympic athlete in terms of endorsements. She made at least $20 million from endorsements between 2019 and 2021.
In April 2021, right before the 2020 Olympics (they were postponed a year), Simone made news when she told US Weekly she was dropping Nike and signing a multi-year, multi-million-dollar deal with Athleta. The Athleta deal also included a pledge by the company to set up a national exhibition for Simone post-Olympics, directly competing with the national exhibition typically set up for gymnasts by U.S.A. Gymnastics. Simone and Athleta will also jointly launch a line of active wear.
Simone allegedly left Nike because she was no longer sure that the company ‘fit’ her. More specifically, she was troubled by Nike’s recent history of scandals and accusations, as well as other negative publicity that has plagued the sportswear giant in recent years.
Early Life
Simone Arianne Biles was born on 14 March 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. Born premature and weighing less than 3 lbs, Simone was always in and out of foster care growing moved to the Houston area in 2000, and it was her grandmother who became an active part of Simone’s upbringing. Biles grew up as a Catholic in the suburban area of Houston, Texas, and due to her mother being Belizean, she grew up with strong ties to Belize, maintaining her Belizean citizenship to this day.
From an early age, it was clear that Simone was destined for professional gymnastics, and so she was removed from class and home-schooled for her last three years in compulsory education. This meant that she could train for an additional 33 per cent of her week, and with time to spare – when she went to university, she was already competing at Olympic level.
Career
Simone Biles began competing in gymnastics at the age of five, joining a club team at the age of six and by the time she was eight she was under the tutelage of coaches such as Aimee Boorman. By the age of 14, Biles competed in the American Classic in Houston and finished in third place. The following year, 2012, she took first place at the American Classic in Huntsville and by that year’s end was named to the US Junior National Team. In 2013, she competed in her first senior international meet at the American Cup before heading to the 2013 City of Jesolo Trophy, where she helped her US team to a gold-medal finish.
Following a substandard showing at the 2013 US Classic, Márta Károlyi invited Simone to a private camp and also began taking her on to work with Romania’s former national team sports psychologist. The results were improved, and so too was her chance of making it into the team at World Championships. Another clean performance at the 2013 Artistic Gymnastics Championships helped her take first place again. By then, though, the 16-year-old was proving to be even better than many international athletes with much more national team experience.

Things got off to a slow start in 2014 because of an injury to her right shoulder, but made a comeback as a winner at the US Classic in Chicago by several points difference, then placing first at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships later that year, helping the US win the made her first appearance in 2015 at the AT T American Cup in Arlington, Texas, where she placed first and later nominated for the 2015 James E S ullivan Award; which happened in 2016 after her performance at the City of Jesolo Trophy in Italy, the US Classic and the US National Championships.
She was selected along with several other famous American gymnasts in 2014 to again represent the United States at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow, Scotland where she won the competition for the third straight time, for a total of 14 World Championships medals. Further strong results in 2016 led to Biles’ selection to represent the United States at the Summer Olympics in Brazil in 2016.
With her help, the US team qualified for first place at the , and then she qualified as the highest ranked overall gymnast at an individual finals in four out of five events. She won her first ever Olympic gold medal at the team event, followed by gold at the individual all-around, bronze at the balance beam final, and gold at the women’s floor exercise final, a total of four Olympic gold medals. After taking a break from competition, Simone resumed competing with the upgraded routines from 2018.

Relationships
Biles started dating fellow gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr in 2017, breaking up three years later in 2020. Simone made this announcement and started dating professional football player Jonathan Owens the same year; the couple got engaged on 15 February 2022 and were married on 22 April 2023.
Larry Nassar
In 2018, Simone joined dozens of other current and former Olympians in alleging that the USA gymnastics physician Larry Nassar had sexually assaulted her, and that USA Gymnastics had directly enabled the abuse for years, and then attempted to cover it up. She opted not to show up at Nassar’s 2018 trial because she wasn’t ready to see her abuser face-to-face.
Real Estate
In 2020, Biles revealed on social media that she had purchased a new home, accompanied by a handful of interior pics. The details available of her new residence were few, though it was clear that it was an expansive and comfortable abode. Tile floors and other details were displayed in the pics from Biles’s home. Whether or not Simone was just posing with some high-end floor décor, it must be quite comfortable to lounge in puffy slippers and onesie pajamas on a cushy tile floor. Though it is easy to discern from her well-known frugality that Simone was at least somewhat willing to splurge on real estate – it’s a good investment, regardless of the purchaser. Records show the house cost less than $750,000.
In 2023, Simone announced that she and her now-husband, Jonathan Owens, were building a house together.
In 2017, Biles announced on Instagram that she was putting her childhood home on the housing market and the property in Houston, Texas was selling for $289,000 with a total of 3,711 square feet of living space. The house, as stated by HAR, sold for between $250,001 – $285,000.
