The Last of Us: Henry and Sam, the Colossus… episode 5 put fans in PLS – News Séries



Each episode of The Last of Us brings its share of comments from fans and episode 5, released early, is no exception. Between fascination and emotion, the public loved this new chapter of the HBO series. Warning, spoilers.

Due to the Super Bowl in the United States, fans of The Last of Us were able to check out the fifth episode two days early. They were thus able to enjoy a chapter that puts the action back at the heart of the plot after two slower episodes focused on the exploration of the characters.

In this fifth episode of The Last of Us, titled “Endure and Survive”, Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) team up with Henry (Lamar Johnson) and Sam (Keivonn Woodard) to escape from Kansas City, at the hands of Kathleen (Melanie Lynskey) and her minions.

The leader of the Hunters wants revenge on Henry, responsible for the death of her brother. In exchange for drugs to cure his brother Sam’s leukemia, Henry sold Kathleen’s brother to FEDRA, the Federal Disaster Management Agency.

To escape the anger of Kathleen and the dangerousness of Kansas City, there is only one solution according to Henry: the underground tunnels. Except that they hide another threat: a horde of infected. After a game of cat and mouse, this little world comes together for an explosive confrontation in which Kathleen and her militia do not escape.

For their part, Henry, Sam, Joel and Ellie do not come out unscathed either, although they have managed to escape a huge Colossus. Unfortunately, Sam got bitten and he transforms into the night. In the early morning, he attacks Ellie and Henry has no choice but to kill his brother. After this irreparable act, he puts an end to his life in front of Joel and Ellie, traumatized by the scene.

Action and emotion in episode 5 of The Last of Us

Judging by fan comments on social media, it seems that audiences have been greatly pleased with the fifth episode of The Last of Us. minions, Joel, Ellie, Henry, Sam and the horde of infected, including the fearsome Colossus, one of the most dangerous types of “zombies” in the universe.

But it was also the final scene of the episode that emotionally finished the viewers, whether they played the video game or not. While one gets attached to them quickly, the deaths of Sam and Henry are extremely tragic and sudden.
