These Special Online Events Will Treat Your Corona Blues Through Dance, Theater & Digital Art

As a 27-year-old Berlin night owl who once was so dear to nightlife and partying, I sometimes wonder how I ended up spending my Friday night taking an online quiz to find out what sauce doner I am. Now I’m sure most of you can figure it out already. Corona has pushed our limits of mundane activities to a whole new level. You won’t be surprised to find that you’re not the only one watching an old show on TV and wondering how the actors are so close to each other without wearing a mask. As we adapt to the new normal, artists and performers work hard to bring us the best in digital platforms to keep us connected to the world and we can’t thank them enough. You will be very happy if you like immersive experiences, dance, theater, opera, digital art and drag shows! Here is a list of events online that you can book now!

Futureland

50% of refugees in Europe are minors, who have reached the continent without being accompanied. They cross the world on foot, on a boat or hidden in a truck. They abandon their realities to embark on a dangerous journey in the hope of a better future in an unknown land and now they are trapped in a legal system. Why? What is it that forces these teenagers to risk everything?

Futureland is a sci-fi documentary play about unaccompanied asylum-seeking adolescents who have embarked on a journey to Europe from Afghanistan, Somalia, Syria, Guinea and Bangladesh. As they cannot yet be deported by the authorities due to asylum laws concerning minors, their future and stay in the country is uncertain and in question. We are brought to live an experience that many of us do not know.

Visit their event website for more information and tickets.
