Black Friday deal season is the perfect opportunity to upgrade to a new and better phone. Specifically, we’re seeing some great deals on the Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro, but which one should you buy? They may be part of the best Black Friday phone deals, but none are exactly cheap, so you’ll want to make the right call for your needs. We’ve taken a look at both as well as what might be best and for whom. Take a look at our findings below.
Google Pixel 8 – $549, was $699
The Google Pixel 8 represents great value for money. It features a stunning 6.2-inch OLED display with a 2400 x 1080 resolution, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and a variable refresh rate of 60Hz and 120Hz, so whatever you’re doing looks great here. The phone uses Google’s Tensor G3 chip along with 8GB of RAM, so it’s quite fast. Android 13 comes preinstalled with the promise of seven years of major Android updates. Another highlight is its 50MP main camera, 12MP wide-angle camera with 125.8 degree field of view and 10.5MP selfie camera. The software tied into these lenses makes it even more capable, making the Google Pixel 8 one of the best Android phones for the value.
Google Pixel 8 Pro – $799, was $999
The Google Pixel 8 Pro is one of the best phones available right now. It’s heavier than the Pixel 8, but it has a bigger screen and more power than the Pixel 8. It features a 6.7-inch Super Actua OLED display with a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120Hz. It also has more RAM with 12GB, while the triple lens with a 50MP wide camera, 48MP ultrawide and 48MP telephoto rear lens makes it better suited for avid photographers. This is a great option for those who want something with a little more oomph. The better screen ensures smooth scrolling and plenty of background changes ensure a seamless experience for you, but ultimately, you’ll love the periscope zoom and other additional features from the Pro.
