Recap, Results & What It Means [SPOILERS]
The final episode of WWE Raw before WrestleMania 41 takes place tonight at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. Two matches have been confirmed for the show – Liv Morgan vs. Bayley and AJ Styles taking on Karrion Kross. The Morgan/Bayley match will serve as a preview to this weekend’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, while Styles will have a warm-up ahead of his WrestleMania match with Logan Paul.
Elsewhere on the show, Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, CM Punk and Seth Rollins are all set to appear ahead of the WrestleMania Night 1 triple threat main event. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther will also appear to respond to Jey Uso’s emotional promo from last week. Other WWE Raw matches set for WrestleMania that will likely see some sort of build include the four-way Intercontinental Championship match, The War Raiders vs. The New Day, Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair and Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano (Chad Gable).
Here are your key moments from tonight’s Monday Night Raw for April 14, 2025:
- Gunther opens the show by cutting a promo on Jey Uso, promising to retain the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania
- Bianca Belair cuts a pre-taped promo about the Women’s World Championship triple threat match.
- Bayley defeats Liv Morgan. Both Raquel Rodriguez and Lyra Valkyria got involved at ringside, eventually culminating in Bayley avoiding Morgan’s Oblivion finisher and rolling her up with a jackknife pin.
- Paul Heyman is shown backstage following a recap of last week’s encounter with Seth Rollins.
- Rhea Ripley gives her side of the story on earning a spot in the Women’s World Championship match in another pretaped promo.
- Rey Mysterio def. Julius Creed. Both the LWO and American Made were thrown out by the referee midway through the match. El Grande Americano then arrived, but Mysterio shoved Creed into Americano to knock him off the apron and set up for a 619 on Creed. Americano was the last man left standing after wiping out Mysterio and the LWO by repeatedly using his loaded mask.
- The War Raiders cut a pretaped promo on The New Day, saying their world tag title match will be a “war.” The New Day respond with a backstage promo. Surprisingly, no stipulation was added to the WrestleMania match.
- AJ Styles beats Karrion Kross with a Phenomenal Forearm. Logan Paul appears, insults the fans in attendance, then plays his own hype video package. Styles invites Paul down the ring, but the numbers game eventually catches up with him when Kross gets involved. Paul leaves Styles knocked out after hitting his Pulverizer finisher.
- Jey Uso arrives and gets his usual “Yeet” ovation from the crowd. He cuts a promo from atop the commentary table, saying Gunther is the one who is afraid now.
- The Judgement Day jump Bron Breakker backstage.
- Finn Balor def. Penta via disqualification. The Judgement Day ran out to try and interfere late in the match, prompting Breakker to run out and nail Balor with a lariat. Penta was the last man left standing after diving onto everyone outside the ring
- Iyo Sky cuts a pretaped promo, pointing out how Ripley and Belair keep trying to push her out of the way every time the three share the ring. She points out how she’s beaten both women before and she’ll do it again at WrestleMania.
- Heyman is once again shown backstage. Punk approaches him and embraces him, just in time for Roman Reigns to arrive and spot the two. Heyman chases after Reigns to try and explain himself.
- Reigns cuts a promo in the ring, asking Heyman why he betrayed “The Tribal Chief?” Heyman says it wasn’t a betrayal, he’s merely paying back a favor he owed. Reigns says he feels like he’s the only one getting screwed over with this whole “favor” business. Seth Rollins arrives and says the winner of Saturday’s triple threat match will define the future of the pro wrestling industry. He says the winner can’t be Reigns or Punk because the business will die if it relies on part-timers or leeches. Rollins says favors are all about choices and that Heyman made his choice by aligning himself with Punk. Reigns actually agrees with Rollins, but attacks “The Visionary” anyway. Heyman says he acknowledges Reigns, but Reigns shoves him to the ground. Punk runs out and brawls with Reigns and checks on Heyman. Reigns uses the opening to nail Punk with a spear, then gets whacked in the back with a chair from Rollins. Rollins delivers Curb Stomps to both Reigns and Punk, then stares down a shocked Heyman to close the show.
